Can you imagine spending a few days skiing in a privileged natural environment, with exceptional snow conditions and a wide range of slopes for all levels?
If so, you can’t miss the ski resort of VallNord Pal-Arinsal, located in the Massana Valley, Andorra.
Basic Features
VallNord Pal-Arinsal is a ski resort in the Principality of Andorra, located in the northern zone, in the parish of Massana, with a skiing area of 210 hectares. It is formed by two main areas: Pal and Arinsal.
Pal is the most extensive area of the resort, with a maximum altitude of 2,364 meters at Pic del Cubil. In this area, you’ll have vast skiing areas, multiple dining areas, and the legendary Pal forest, a place not to be missed on days of heavy snowfall.
Arinsal is the highest area of the resort with a maximum altitude of 2,569 meters at Port Negre. Arinsal combines a family-friendly approach in its lower area with wider and easier-to-master slopes, featuring the largest accumulated elevation difference in the entire Principality—over 1,000 skiable meters from the top of Port Negre to the base of the Marrades slope. Additionally, in Arinsal, you can enjoy one of the most iconic slopes in the Principality, La Capa, accessed via a cable car still powered by diesel.
Pal-Arinsal is also the gateway to the Comapedrosa Natural Park, with its refuge as a reference point and Comapedrosa Peak, the summit of the Principality. It’s an ideal area for mountain skiing enthusiasts and snowshoeing excursions.

- La Comellada: This black slope is in the Pal sector and stands out for its elevation and route through the forest.
- Marrades: An easy-level slope located in the lower part of the Arinsal sector, complementing the largest elevation difference in the entire Principality, with a winding route – 10 180º turns taking us to the Josep Serra chairlift. All of this with spectacular views of the valley.
- Tub del Coll: Black tube-shaped slope at the top of the Arinsal sector. Short but intense.
- Cubil: Red slope starting at Pic del Cubil, where we have a viewpoint, leading us to the base of the chairlift with the same name.
Additionally, there are great routes in the midst of nature to enjoy mountain skiing.
The Vallnord Pal-Arinsal station offers 7 marked mountain skiing routes in both sectors suitable for all levels.
Also, always recommended with an expert guide, excursions can be made through the forests of the skiing domain or the Comapedrosa Natural Park.
